UPPER DECK RESORT, LONAVALA

At 4 kms from the Lonavala Bus Stand, this resort is located on top of a hill next to the Tungarli Lake at an altitude of 2500ft above sea level.

It is the only resort in the surrounding area and the approach road is narrow at some places with inhabitants living just next to the road at Pangloli village. Once you are on top of the hill, the view is refreshing.

By Road :

From Pune –

distance of 65 kms through Expressway or through Old Highway (NH 4).

From Mumbai –

distance of 84 kms. through Expressway or Old Highway ( NH 4).

Regular ST and private bus services are available both from Mumbai and from Pune.

By Rail :

Lonavala is the railway station where almost all the trains moving both ways halt.

By Air :

Nearest airport is Pune (65 kms) or Mumbai (84 kms ).

The resort has delux rooms and cottages located at three different levels. The Delux rooms are located two levels lower but with a view of the mountains and you can watch sunrise. The cottages are located on the upper level next to the swimming pool with a view of the valley below.

The resort has a restaurant which serves buffet type food which is quite tasty. Their service is also good.

There is not much outdoor activity at the resort itself. But you can pre-arrange outdoor locations like Rajmachi Fort, Karla Caves, Bushi Dam and other points at Lovanavala.

The resort has a swimming pool with a depth of only 4 feet. No diving is allowed.

For indoor games, they have foosball, carroms, table tennis and chess. In the evening they have Karaoke singing.
