SAI VISHRAM BEACH RESORT, BYNDOOR

Located at Byndoor near Kundapura and north of Udupi & Mangalore (Karnataka, India), Sai Vishram Beach Resort is one of the best beach resorts around. It is spread over 24 acres with a hillock and down slope.

Designed with a rustic flavour, amidst gardens full of beautiful trees shading magnificent flowering plants, the resort is a ideal place for a family or couple to enjoy or relax. I visited the Sai Vishram Beach Resort with spouse and stayed at the Bhatkal House.

By Road :

The resort is located at 4 km from Byndoor Bus Stand. There are number of private and KSRTC buses which ply from Mumbai-Pune and other centers to Byndoor on the way to Mangalore.

The resort also organizes complimentary pick up and drop facility from and to Byndoor by prior arrangement.

By Rail :

Byndoor is the nearest railway station on the Konkan Railway Route. The resort is at a distance of 4.5 kms from the Byndoor Railway station.

Other nearest railway stations are : Murudeshwara (32kms), Kundapura (33kms), Udupi (70kms).

By Air :

Mangalore is the nearest airport at a distance of 131 kms.

The rooms on the hillocks are sea facing and there are 4 different AC cottages with spacious balcony. They also have Sun Cottage for couples with a plunge pool between the living and bedroom. The resort has sea facing tents at the lower level near the sea.

The dining area is located at the lower level requiring the guests to either walk it down to the dining hall or drive across, if the distance is longer. The dining area is well maintained and the food is of good quality.

They also have tents near the sea shore for group stay.

Indulge in water sports, ATV rides, massage parlour, Dolphin watching, rapelling, trekking etc. Attend the musical events next to the dining area and yoga sessions. During our stay, we witnessed a spell-bound musical jugalbandhi organised by the resort.

Visit small temple in the middle of the hillock. Whenever some musician plays the flute during practice session here, in the serene background sound of sea waves lapping on to the shore, the music of the flute is a soothing experience.

The resort provides snacks and tea by the sea-side in the evenings.

The best season to visit is between November and May.
